Sekhmet is one of the oldest deities in the African spiritual tradition — the lioness goddess of Kemet, worshipped as the eye of Ra, the seat of divine feminine fury, and the keeper of medicine. Where Sekhmet walks, the desert wind follows. She is the one who burns away what no longer serves and holds the knowledge of what survives the burning.
