The Livity Tree of Life is Katherin Joyette's meditation on what lives at the convergence of all the ancestral lines in the Erased Daughters Collection: the Kalinago root, the Irish grandmother, the African Eritrean origin, the Cape Verdean branch, the unnamed transmissions that move through the body without documentation. The Mother Tree is what holds all of it. She is not a metaphor for connection. She is the connection itself — the mycorrhizal truth that every living tradition has tried to name and none has fully captured.

The tree of life imagery here carries the union of masculine and feminine not as balance or compromise but as completion. The two principles reunited in the trunk, rising together toward higher consciousness — what the Kabbalah calls ascension, what the Yoruba call Ori, what the Rastafari call Livity. The same truth in every language: that we are not divided. That the severing was done to us. That the return is possible.
